Genetic Glossary
The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) created the Talking Glossary of Genetic Terms to help people without scientific knowledge to understand the terms and concepts used in genetic research. Just click on the word that interests you and a page with extensive information will open, including the pronunciation of the word, audio information, images and links to related terms. The glossary is a resource for learning about genetics, is always available, and is easy to use for students, teachers and parents. For more information, see the spoken Glossary.
